i just tagged and was going to get insp today . get in no start cranks over fine jumped wire at ballast resitor for fuel pump and can here running .i noticed it was taking 3to4seconds to start and it did cut out once last night while idling.I'm thinking cps by the way it is a 88 4.0 aw4 does this sound right thanks

:agree: Make sure the connection to the CPS is good, that the wires aren't burnt or damaged. But be sure to test for spark, make sure it is an ignition issue.

:cheers: i got it going today it was a cps i had a friend fix it for me . i had a operation 5 weeks ago on my stomach and realy can't work on it towed it to where he works .replaced the cps did a state insp on it and had the oil changed , total was $116.00 dollars i can't complain about that :thumbsup: thanks for the reply
