maddzz1 Posted January 7, 2010 Posted January 7, 2010 Is this the wiring for this option? http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/NOS-OEM- ... 20aec319af
garyindiane Posted January 7, 2010 Posted January 7, 2010 Interesting... I did not know that option was available on the renix era jeeps. Just read up on this the other day on jeep forum. http://www.jeepforum.com/forum/f11/exte ... ry-610688/ -Gary
mfpdm Posted January 7, 2010 Posted January 7, 2010 Don't buy it, this is not what you think it is. I bought one just like it thinking it was the police package one and it is not. This is for the earlier XJ's that have A/C and would not idle up when the A/C was turned on.
maddzz1 Posted January 8, 2010 Author Posted January 8, 2010 Thanks. I have a 4.0 so i wasnt gonna buy it but figured someone else might want it if it was the correct part.

Hit a button, and it starts to idle up
mfpdm Posted January 10, 2010 Posted January 10, 2010 I really don't see how. From what I gather from the instructions it works off a signal from the A/C. You might be able to rig a switch in there but who knows. I wouldn't waste the time with it. You would be better off finding the FSM that covers the wiring for the police package and using it to wire something up. I would assume that those were all 4.0's though.
