Bacon Posted September 18, 2006 Posted September 18, 2006 anybody know if any 2wd MJ's came with a D44? i just bought 35's and i know my D35 will break soon. not too many MJ's around in Atlantic Canada--Jeep sheetmetal + Atlantic winters + road salt = dead Jeeps. there are a few 2wd MJ's in a junkyard near here, just wondering what the odds of either having a D44 for me to pluck......
Eagle Posted September 18, 2006 Posted September 18, 2006 The Dana 44 was the axle used with the optional Metric Ton package from 1987 thru 1992. That was a function of weight capacity, not 2WD vs. 4WD. Dunno what the chances are of finding one, but it's theoretically possible.
