Beware of the cheap stuff though. Who knows who has beat on it and what kind of shape its really in internally. I've got no use for an 8.25 but I might have gone to look at that D30 if I didn't already buy my project one...

No different than getting it or any other axle, especially at a junk yard.

I agree, but usually at junkyards you have a choice over which axle you get for the "per axle" price...
