The COTY Adapter set is the one I am talking about.  If you have any fab skills to do motor mounts etc, then the only thing you really would need from them is the adapter setup, and it comes pretty complete for the price.  Otherwise, as John mentioned, just do some searching for TDI swaps, there's quite a bit out there.  The hardest part is the wiring really.

Not sure if that TDIclub swap is related, but I remember 1 or 2 people over at the Naxja forums that did TDI swaps. Their threads were not really in depth. But pending deals on the required parts, sounds like a good swap.

Back in high school when I had my "piss-yellow" 1980 MB 300SD sedan, non-turbo, I regularly got 25+mpg in my "normal driving" and 35+ highway. Can be converted to run bio diesel or WVO easily.

I like that 2 piece adapter and the ability to let you clock the motor.  The price is actually higher than the COTY adapter, and aside from the starter, includes less.  I guess it really depends on what parts and options you can do without.

I would enjoy piecing together a TDi conversion. But that has to wait a few years. However, I can read all the free information I can find until then!
