streetjeep2.5
This Wed. is Veterans Day. First, to all Vets on this site, thanks. Second, if possible attended something honoring vets, and get the family to be part of it. Too many in my era, the Vietnam era, came home with instructions to wear civilian clothes in order to avoid being avoided. I came home in my uniform. Third, if you are a Vet, consider joining the VFW in your area. Some have become "good old boys" groups of WWII and Korea vets because Vietnam and Desert Storm Vets don't join, and they are tired of trying. If you are a vet from anytime after WWII and Korea, and join, become active and help get it active again, for many good things come out of others seeing your thankfulness for serving this nation. Eagle
I'm an at-large member of VFW and have been for awhile. I might be more interested in affiliating with a local chapter if they didn't wear those goofy hats for all official functions. They look like idiots. I do that well enough already that I don't need a stupid hat to confirm it.

Guess I was used to that kind of hat from my army years (1968-1970).
