pilotblake Posted October 29, 2009 Posted October 29, 2009 After responding to a different post I got to thinking about it and didn't want to hijack that post. If my truck has a 700R4 with a 205 or 207 right now for the life of me I can't remember which and 3.73 gears, how do I figure out what the appropriate speedo gear is needed to get my MPH back to the right speed. Right now 45 seems to be about 60 by GPS. What more info is needed?
Geonovast Posted October 29, 2009 Posted October 29, 2009 Sounds like you need a gear with about 3/4 as many teeth as the one you have now. But I may be wrong. I know there was a chart somewhere, but I think it was for a 231, which uses a different set of gears.
