bowmans86mj
I'm posting this for my friend but he has a 1989 jeep cheroke limited and he just recently purchased lockers for the rear end and they seem to be working good but he noticed that ONLY when he turns right he hears a popping noise and i was wondering if anyone had any suggestions or opinions on what that might be.. thank you :dunno:
Eagle
The real question is why he does NOT hear a popping noise when he turns left.

Eagle
We also need a better description of the behavior. A true locker should lock when power is being applied, and unlock when there is no power (coasting). Your friend needs to try going around corners both ways with power being applied, and again both ways coasting. Let us know if the popping is consistent under all circumstances. Rockyrider367
Are they lockrights? If they are you have proably broken the pins that hold the two half's together. It will lock turning one way especialy on the street beacuse the pins will get stuck and bind one way and not the other beacuse the two halfs will just slip by them that way.
