not practical as a truck, not comfy riding enough for soccer moms like a ridgeline.

Didn't use a frame/motor platform that was shared with other vehicles to offset costs.

Wasn't interesting to anybody but Jeepers.

 

Take your pic, it's all about the benjamins, and DC decided that the gladiator wouldn't make any for one or all of those reasons.

I never liked the truck to begin with so I don't see it as a loss. In this market the mid range pickup is dead - people want offensive or cute (or in some cases H2 which are kinda both.) What DC needed to do with that platform is base it off the Ram and throw in a cummins - wouldn't have been able to keep them on the lot.

 

Besides, had they built it it would have come with a performance suspension, 4cyl motor, and eventually an SRT package that would have been the scourge of highschool parking lots across the country.

but most of the snobby rich folk in my area tend to think of it as more of a "eyesore" of the parking lot.

hey oizarod isnt it awseome when u pull in to school and people look at u like ur an idiot for drivin a beat up old truck while they rev up their little eclipse and all u do is shake ur head. i love it, especially at the private school i go to. The comanche just doesnt fit in with the BMWs and mercedes, but then again i don't really fit in with the rich b@$t@rd$ either
