rtyler8140 Posted July 22, 2009 Posted July 22, 2009 87 Comanche with the 4.0L and auto trans. I have it switched onto the power setting, but I have no take off power. If I floor it, it will rev up and shift, then bog and sputter and rev back up. It acts as if it is getting too much fuel maybe? Within the last 6 months I have changed the plugs, wires, cap and rotor. The injectors all have new o-rings on them. I put a new exhaust manifold on it, but have an aftermarket intake so there is nothing hooked up to the tube coming off of the exhaust manifold. Is that causing my problem? I thought that was just to heat the air in the stock air box, but if that is messing with compression I guess that could pose a problem. Any help would be appreciated.
rtyler8140 Posted July 22, 2009 Author Posted July 22, 2009 Was just reading some old posts and figure that should be something to take a look at. I know how to pull my 02 sensor, but how should I check my cat?
dasbulliwagen Posted July 22, 2009 Posted July 22, 2009 Remove the cat, take a peice of pipe or something, knock out all of the guts, reinstall and youre done!
rtyler8140 Posted August 4, 2009 Author Posted August 4, 2009 So I finally got around to putting a new O2 sensor in and it fixed my problem. Thanks guys.
