mjeff87 Posted October 26, 2005 Posted October 26, 2005 Since the auto-adjusters on the MJ/XJ's are crap...... I've tried the backing-up-and-hitting-the-brakes method to adjust the rears without much success, until last night. If you do it on an incline, it works MUCH better :) I repeated the process 3X on the side street beside my house and got alot better pedal now. Only thing is the neighbors think I'm even more strange now... Jeff
Bounty Hunter Posted October 26, 2005 Posted October 26, 2005 Cool. And if that doesn't work it takes about 5 minutes through the backing plates. I generally adjust the rear brakes on friends jeeps when I have it here working on it. They get it back and really think I did something extra (and hard to do ;) ).
pingpong Posted October 27, 2005 Posted October 27, 2005 Just swap in some disc brkaes.. then you don't have to worry about adjusting them. Patrick
