Front springs.

I'm going to need to replace my front springs soon and i am in need of some advice from the Manche Masters. I have a 4 inch lift and am looking for some decent springs at a low price and i basically want to avoid buying somewhere cheap and end up breaking one. just something mostly for DD use with mild wheeling and very little highway.

Interesting. :hmm: How close to the end of the coil is the bad area?

the end is straight on the other side

Admittedly, I'd probably run it until I noticed that side sagging lower than the other. :shake:

well i figure if I'm going to replace the shocks i would look into doing the spings next, thats why i was looking for input on an inexpensive yet well made set. any advice?

start looking in the classifieds on here and naxja for a set of RE springs. Should be able to come up with some for a good price used

A lot of options for coils:

 

- older ford trucks: late 70s F150s - firm but do provide about the amount of lift you have. Tons of these in the yards. See http://www.lunghd.com/Tech_Articles/Sus ... t_Lift.htm

 

- ZJ Grand Cherokee Up Country springs or any Grand Cherokee V8 springs -- get all the steering links too.

 

- Motion Offroad, RE, or any of the aftermarket guys have em pretty cheap.
