how to change cluster

hi to all members can somebody teach me how to change to the cherokee cluster my mj have one with the ligth and my gas gauges don't work ,so i went to junk yard and pick one from a cherokee but I don't kwon how to made work thank you

What year is your truck? What year Cherokee did you get the new gauge cluster from?

my truck is 1988 comanche 2wd the cherokee I take the cluster out is a 1993 thank you

I don't think that cluster is going to work for you, you might need to find an older one, probably 90 or older

Yup. You'll need a cluster from a 90 or older MJ/XJ. 87-90 are the most direct fit, 86 and older require a bit of swapping the speedo cable clips.
