Non-adjustable since the lifters are hydraulic. Just install and torque to spec. Make sure you keep everything in order and proper orientation

Should I use blue loc-tite on the bolts or just torque them to 19 ft-lbs?

It couldn't hurt to use a dab. I use blue loctite on most everything :D

Funny story, two days after I first got my MJ, I drove it from Pittsburgh to Norfolk and back. It had been sitting dormant in a garage lot for 6+ months, but it fired up and ran like a champ. The next morning, I started it up and is was only running on 3 of the 4 cylinders. Turns out the rocker bridge on #3 loosened up and the intake rocker tip slid off the end of the valve (oops). I guess the 16 hour roadtrip at interstate speeds vibrated the bolt loose.....

JohnQ, Ive got a set but I ain't willing to part with 'em. :)

The cover of my '89 had a but of gunk. Nothing a pressure washer and some varsol didn't help. Oddly it was just the cover, rockers and everything were nice and clean, just oily :P

When I switched over to Amsoil with my 3rd Mj the motor blew because of sludge just like this - only about an inch thicker. It was caked on so bad that we couldn't even chisel it off. They had a big push about five years ago here locally and I'm wondering if one of the many POs got caught in the same ad campaign I did...

Made a little bit of progress. Should have my ACCEL tune up kit and new fan shroud in by this weekend. I'm going to run some detergent cleaner and pull the oil pan next week.
