SkipshotMJ
Would these work on an '87 Comanche? http://www.4wd.com/productdetails.aspx?partID=4496 & http://www.4wd.com/productdetails.aspx?partID=8958 I currently don't have an emergency brake and i don't really want to tear into the whole truck in order to replace the emergency brake. So i was hoping that those would work. Thanks guys!
flint54
What you list is the equivalent of an electric master cylinder. Yes, it will hold your brakes, right up until a hydraulic failure, which is the whole premise of a separate mechanical brake. For the couple hundred bucks and several hours you would spend on one of these, seems to me you could fix the emergency brake? Would be much safer in the long run, and you might even get lucky and find that the fix isn't that bad.
jtdesigns
:agree: Roll controls are mostly for dragsters staging at lights. You'll cuss installing that way more then fixing the park brake..
SkipshotMJ
haha alright. ill look into fixing my parking brake. everything in the system works but the ratcheting mechanism. any ideas on how to fix it?
jtdesigns
You can get someone to pull the whole foot brake for you and replace it,, or pull yours and make sure its good and clean and that all the springs are there.. Where the heck is Wildman when you need him??? He knows alot about this park, i mean part, of the mj..
