Dave88 Posted March 26, 2009 Share Posted March 26, 2009 anyone elses oil fill cap on the valve cover leak? i just bought a new one and it fite exactly like the original. i just put a washer behind the gasket and said f it. still leaks.. :doh: and i just bought and returned some rear lift blocks, i have a dana 35 and the perches for the leafs are on the other side of the axle which is inconveint for putting lift blocks on. i could lower it but don't want to. I'm probably gonna go with the shackle replacment lift for the rear. and does anyone know where i can find front coil spacers? locally Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

mfpdm Posted March 26, 2009 Share Posted March 26, 2009 Crankcase ventilation (ccv) This allows the pressure build up in the crankcase to be relieved. If the tubing is clogged the pressure will find another way out like the oil fill cap or air filter box. Oil comes out with the pressure. Pulling the hoses and tubes and cleaning them out may solve your problem. If not, you may have bad rings or valve seals allowing excessive pressure to escape. I can probably suggest a place for you to buy stuff when I know this. Sounds like you need to do as I did and remove the valve cover to clean the "CCV towers" inside as they get clogged up too. You can see more on page two of my build from the link in my sig, but here is two pictures (before & after cleaning) to illustrate what I am talking about. We are in Fort Pierce usually once a year for a Jeep Club show, but have never taken the time to check out the area. Did you try asking on FJOA about places in your area for the coil spacers?
