mjeff87
Almost burned down the building at work this morning. This is what happens when you have a dead short on a 1750KW emergency generator feed......this happened about an hour ago, and the conduit is still hot to the touch. More pics at I gotta go change my pants right now  Jeff Image Not Found

mjeff87
The contractor that did the install is on scene now. It appears that when they pulled the cabling for that leg thru, they pulled it a bit too tight  It's been in for almost a year, and I guess it finally chafed enough to make contact. Can you say "spark shower"???
DirtyComanche
If only I had that much amperage to play with.
mjeff87
Here's a section of one of the 5 wires inside the conduit. Had to cut the melted wires out with a sawzall  (pencil included as a size reference) Two things I don't mess around with are electricity and married women....scary shiat  Jeff Image Not Found
