MJ is dead
Might have the paperwork somewhere. But what do ya think is standard with an 87 4.0 auto? 35 rear 4.0 + auto = 3.55 gears 4.0 + stick = 3.07 gears 2.5L + 4spd stick = 3.55 gears (usually) 2.5L + 5spd stick = 4.10 gears (usually) Woot! Thanks pete! I knew the guru would tell me!

Pete M
You can also get the ratio by jacking up one rear tire, putting the trans in neutral, and rotating the tire around twice while counting the number of times the driveshaft rotates. If the driveshaft rotates 3.5 times, you've got a 3.55 ratio. (for those who have positraction, you'll need to jack up both rear tires and rotate them around only once.)
