hogelectra
Ok not having much luck trying to lub the universal joints. Looks like in order for me to get the connection made with the lub gun is take the joint off. I tried taking the bracket off and that didn't help What am I missing here?? pingpong
Whish U-joint are you talking about. Most of your driveshaft ones you should be able to get to.
702_MJ
put the truck on jacks and spin the shafts, that should expose the zerk/zirk (don't know how its spelt) fittings.
BLHTAZ
put the truck on jacks and spin the shafts, that should expose the zerk/zirk (don't know how its spelt) fittings....or just roll the truck a little bit so the fittings are exposed and easy to get to. I have never had a problem getting to them when they are rotated to the proper position.
deziped
I have one zerk like that on the front end of the rear DS. You can't get a coupler to slip on the zerk do to lack of spacing. Turn the shaft anyway you want to and it's a no go. All most like it's a smaller u-j but it isn't. I have been searching for a smaller dia. coupler to use but haven't found one yet. Also on the cardan joint I had to drill a bigger hole through the tranny support to get to the flush (inverted) zerk on that with a neddle adapter. You can get to the front half of the joint but not the rear half. A mfg goof I believe.
