Sir Sam
Hitup the junkyards with my buddy again today, found an MJ with a black interior, unfortuneatly most of the panels had been pulled, but got the two that have the seatbelts routed through them. Still has a good black dash and both door panels FYI. So then we went to another junkyard, well we found an 87 wagoneer that had had the rear end pulled(wanna guess what was there?) and looked through everything else, nada. So on the way back out we stop at a XJ that I had previously looked at. My buddy pops his head under and goes "It's mine!" So I say "WTF?" stick my head under, and sure nuff, its a 44...... My stupid @$$ had looked a little too quick at the jeep and missed that it was a 44, I should have known to look better at it since it clearly said "1987" on the side, but I didn't. I remember even bending over to look thinking "This stupid stand thing is right in my way of easily seeing the rear end" I think I also might have been distracted by the fact that since the vehicle was on stands I wasn't sure if it had a lift kit or not, so I may have failed to really pay attention to the rear. Darn it all. $129.03 out the door. Thing is super clean, hardy a lick of rust, still has the original tag on it. 222k miles though..... Pics later when he takes em..... Sir Sam
Well we went back to pullnsave today, when we were there a few days ago we noticed that there was a 97 and a older limited there. Well today we went back because I wanted to check and see if the 97 had a good header and drivers side fender. It did not. I went strait to the 97. My buddy went to the 87 limited. Guess who found another XJ Dana 44? So ya, in less than a week my buddy has scored two XJ dana 44 rears. This one was $140 complete. YARG!
