couldnt start my manche when i needed it :(

i took my starter completley apart and put it back together,

took it into a shop and the guy said it worked fine,

i got him to replace the solinoid for it anyway,

slapped it back in my truck and...

nothing :headpop:

checked the wires said its getting 25 v of current going to it,

it should be around 12 i thoguht?

is this too much for it?

any ideas?

i need a few ideas because i won't be working on it for about 2 weeks

and it could be alot of things

Current is measured in Amperes, or "A", potential is measures in Volts or "V". If you have a 25V potential across the starter, either you are running a dual battery set up connected in series, or you are reading your tester wrong.

fixed problem,

took some 200 amp electrical cables and replaced them,

starts right up,

found out it helps the engine if you put the vacume hose on too,

runs soo much better
