231trans case

Hello jeepers I have a ?, I just put a trans case in that jeep it had a 207 in it and I put a 231 in it on the trans case itself does 2h go to the front of the truck and 4l to the back with the linkage if so I have it right but when I start the truck the 4wheel light lights up on the dash why is that ?? :nuts: :dunno:

The 4wd light is triggered by vacuum. It doesn't necessarily mean the t-case is actually in 4wd. Are you sure the vacuum lines are all in the right spot? Did you properly adjust the linkage?

The jeep had a 207 t-case in it and it went bad was hard for me to find a 207 so I put a 231 in it and on the 231 it had 2 lines for vacuum on the t-case mine had 4 lines so I had to change it but I don't know if I put it back on the right way have to look but I'll try that and thanks alot again
