Redramman Posted November 22, 2008 Posted November 22, 2008 I know everybody uses something else but are their any pictures of tools:J-22888 ,and J-34603 ??? I think one is a bearing seperator not sure the other, shure would be easier to use "or equivalent" if they showed what the mystery J tools are. They are for removing bearings and some gears from trans shafts one is used with a press.I whonder if my Snap on book shows these?
Geonovast Posted November 22, 2008 Posted November 22, 2008 I bought a Craftsman 2-arm gear puller, which should be able to get everything off on your AX-5 just fine. $50 compared to $400(J-22888)
JeepcoMJ Posted November 22, 2008 Posted November 22, 2008 just have a simple press, and some 1/4" angle iron, and a small square brass block. works just fine for removing all of the gears.
