BLHTAZ
Depends on how heavy that top is, but I would think a good quality gas shock would do just fine. If you need more support for the weight, I would think about adding a leaf to the spring packs out of an XJ pack maybe.
xj_dummy
Are the springs from an xj beefer? Direct bolt up?
Redramman
MJ is spring under axle XJ is spring over axle so I don't think they interchange without spring perch relocation modification. They just meant use an XJ leaf as an add-a-leaf, not sure if adding an XJ leaf is better than an MJ leaf???? :hmm:
BLHTAZ
No...I meant to just take a leaf from the XJ spring pack and add it to the MJ. I have heard that the main leaf from an XJ with the eye's cut off will give about a 1.5" lift to an MJ, but it's not as stiff riding as if you added an Add-A-Leaf.
