What Light Bulb Number goes Where?

Hello to all,

 

I was reading a post trying to diagnose an electrical issue and came across this post:

 

"2057 and 1157 can be used interchangeably. 1156 is used in the tail lights, but only for backup lights" (carnuck)

 

I went to Canadian Tire and their database showed this"

2057 - Tail stop light

1156 - Backup / turn / corner lights

194LL - Marker light (my truck does not use this bulb)

 

Does anyone know off hand if this is correct?

 

Also it made no mention of those front fog lights below the headlights. What bulb number?

 

My bulbs are a little mixed up, I'm not that lazy!

Alright! I think I found it.

 

The 1157, bottom two prong, goes in the two prong sockets.

And the 1156, bottom one prong, goes in the one prong sockets.

 

:idea: Well that should do it, 'IF' 1157 and 1156 are the only two styles of exterior bulbs.

The 194 bulb is used up front for the side markers, the yellow ones right beside your headlites. You correctly figured out the differences between the 1156 anmd 1157 series of bulbs.

I think the 194's are used in the tag lights too.

That's what's in the XJ rear license light. Don't know what's in the stock MJ license lights, mine all have aftermarket bumpres and no lights.
