robfg67
Ok, this is not a life or death problem, but the driver's side door ajar switch is not functioning and it would be nice to have the interior lights come on at night when I open the door. I unscrewed the driver's side door ajar switch and the wire is not attached to the switch. I took the driver's side kick pannel off to locate the wire. The wire on the pass. side is black with a white stripe-so I'll assume the driver's side should be the same. I also can't determine how the wire enters the cab. I stuck a metal coat hanger in the vacant door ajar switch hole and didn't see the hanger from inside the cab either. How would the wire make its way into the cab? Do I need to remove anything else? mfpdm
It's a hole right above the door wire pass through. Kind of hard to see with all the crap in the way. And if I remember right, the drivers side has 3 wires. Also you can fish it through with just the switch, it's just a little tricky. :D
robfg67
Thanks mfpdm, I was able remove the black rubber tube that runs from the door jamb to the door & reach into the opening to grab the door ajar wires.
