Where should the plugs be to install kick panel lights

Up under the dash on each side. The driver's side will be a black plug with three wires (two black, one pink) and on the dash harness near the location for the door harness plug. The passenger side will be a blck plug with two wires (one black and one pink).

 

Here is a pic of the passenger side with the sub harness attached: (sorry about the blurryness)

 

 

You can get the sub harnesses off of most any XJ (that is not a sport model).

i found one of the plugs it was near the heater the other for the passengers side i can't seem to find

On my 86, I could only find the one on the passenger side. So I made my own wire harness that plugs in and out on the passenger side.

It should be there, maybe it got pushed behind the side kick panel? All of mine were there, two wires black & pink on both driver and passenger sides.

ive had the interior clear out of it 3 years ago so if they were behind the kick panels they certainly are not behind there now
