After watching parts of this game I am even MORE confidant that the Big 12 Rep (Oklahoma, but Texas would win as well) will run FLA out of the stadium...but If I'm wrong then, I'll take it like a man and admit I'm wrong! Tebow is pretty good... I don't think "one of the greatest players EVER" like the talking heads on CBS were talking about...Not the 5 best QB in the county this year in my Opinion... You may have been a little wrong, but I was a lot wronger. Good even game up to the middle of the last quarter. I'm disappointed, but hell, nobody expected the Tide to do as well as they did. And crap, I got ill listening to the yakking heads constantly deifying Tebow ad nauseum. Hey - they did good Don...and I'm not happy that they didn't stomp Tebow and the Gators...I have a real reason to dislike the Gators anyway :yes: . You were close, and yes I believe the Gators covered the point spread. I still believe FL will show how fraudulent the Big 12 is. FL has a good strong defense, and OK has not faced a good defense all year. I would be surprised if TT blows Ole Miss out. I expect that to be another SEC win. This game kind of reminds me of Boise State's 43-42 great overtime win over Oklahoma in the 2007 Fiesta Bowl. But this hurts. I want a playoff system like NCAA basketball has, after the all the damn bowl games so the universities can make their $$, because you can't kill the political bowl games. And the BCS system just doesn't eliminate all the variables. Teams from the smaller conferences just don't have a chance to be national champs. Oh well, prolly never happen anytime soon. Sigh..... At least something we can agree on... I think they could work a bowl/playoff combo thing, and I've read/heard talk about that, so they don't lose the $$$ and get get a more "real" playoff type setup... I think the top 8-10 teams would be fine. But it comes down to the best team on that day, maybe the not best team. Utah plays Alabama 10 times, I don't think they win more than half of those games. They were better today, but you still never REALLY get the "best team" that always wins. Which I guess is why it's fun... The Huskers have been down for a few years (since 1997 acutally, but REALLY bad the last 4), so i'm just happy to get a New Years Day bowl game at all, and a win is just icing on the cake. I hope in a few years they can get back to Top 10, having a chance at a title every few years like before (although never be as dominate as they were in the 90's). I WAS WRONG WRONG WRONG, idiotically wrong about the whole Big12 *SOUTH* Division... Texas squeaked out a game vs. a Ohio St. team that didn't (and still really don't) think is nearly as good as they have been in the recent past, and the rest of the B12 *SOUTH* sucked balls... The B12 North Division was 3-0, although I don't know that Minnesota, Northwestern and Clemson (who is pretty talented), really make up for the bad play of the South... I am a man and admit that I was being a homer biased... No way is the B12 the best division in football this year and congrats to FLA for having a great season BTW> UTAH gets my vote for #1... When I mentioned "Minnesota, Northwestern and Clemson", I was referring to the teams that the B12 North teams beat in this years Bowl Season...Kansas Beat Minnesota (B10), Missouri Beat NW (B10) and Nebraska beat Clemson(ACC) B12 South Lost all but the Texas vs Ohio State(Big10) game OKLA Lost to FLA (SEC) OKIE Light lost to Oregon (PAC10) TTEch lost to Ole Miss (SEC) So which part of my College Football 101 am I lacking On???? 'Course I wish pigs could fly too so I could shoot them down; never happen.
