DirtyComanche
I'm thinking it's like 3/16? But some type of metric (oh, that'd be an 4.6mm)? Anyways, these guys sell 1/4" quick release pins. http://www.speedwaymotors.com/p/524,4_1 ... -Pins.html I think they might make it easier to remove the doors. I have cut hinges, but it's a pig to put a 2dr XJ door back on as the alignment is kinda finickery and they're heavy. I'd leave the roll pin in the top hinge like it is, and one of these (but in a more suitable diameter if I could find it) in the bottom. Then I can just align the top roll pin and support the door with it easily enough, then mess around with the alignment for the bottom one. Thoughts? Off-base? Might work? Never pulled a 2dr XJ door so you have no idea what I mean by 'heavy'?
project88mj
i have pulled those doors before still remember yup the were heavy allright took 3 ppl to align the doors #1 to hold the weight #2 to align the doors and #3 to put the rollpins in place yup that olny took 2 hours and 3 monkeys with more tools than brains to do it right
DirtyComanche
The first time I took the passenger side one off, I dropped it and bent the seam on the bottom, I had to fix it with pliers so I could close the door when I put it back on. They're pigs. Try doing the install and alignment by yourself.

Akula69
I usually use a 3/16 drift punch to drive them out...I know thats not an exact measurement. The doors are heavy and difficult to align in the best of circumstances.
LEAD_NOT_FOLLOW
I'm not sure off the top of my head what size they were, but I do know they were metric. I ended up getting a grade 8 hardened bolt the correct size (diameter) and cutting it down to length, than just tacking the head in place with the welder. deziped
I have the pin in my hand. It mic out to .250-252 or so. Mine is a hair outa shape from being punched out. I picked up a couple 1/4" grade 5 bolts & after cleaning up the pin holes with a !/4" bit they dropped right in. If you can find em 6mm would fit fine. DirtyComanche
F-bomb metric. I'll order some 1/4" quick pins. Thanks for measuring, deziped...
