chicofuentes0224
Can somebody take a pic of where their exhaust mani meets the downpipe? I'm trying to see if the space in between mine is normal. I'll explain later. TIA
mvusse
Nope, sorry, can't do. The only thing stock on mine is the front pipe. Everything after that is custom, what happened to fit and dumped down in front of the axle.
chicofuentes0224
Here's what I'm talking about. Does the spacing in between the mani and the downpipe look spaced too far apart? I'm trying to diagnose a strange noise my truck makes that sounds like a chair rubbing across the cafeteria floor in grade school. It happens when I turn a corner or I'm sitting still idling at a light and blip the throttle. I've gotten four differnt responses from mechanics ranging from the tie-rod is hitting the diff cover to my engine is blown. So what do you guys think about the space in between the two? mvusse
I know when I start my truck, and at certain amount of throttle at certain engine speed, the end of my front pipe is rattling on the transmission cross member.

See I think something like that is happening on mine. Except I think the noise is coming from that gap that's getting bigger when there's a load on the engine. chicofuentes0224
Do you still need pics of the exhaust ? Does it look like mine or are the two closer?
ORCA
So what do you guys think about the space in between the two? From that picture it's hard to tell. Can you snap another looking absolutely strait? I don't think if there was a gap there that it would make the noise you descriped. I could be wrong.
