urbanMJ Posted June 9, 2006 Posted June 9, 2006 my enthusiastic crusade to get this truck on the road has broken a few things. One being the driverside mirror. I was adjusting for the best line of sight, and snapped the mirror off inside the housing (pushing on the mirror, not the knob). How Do i remove the entire assembly mirror. I wanna glue/fasten it back on. The factory service manual only has a section on power mirrors, and that's only a wiring diagram. Oh and I tried taking out the setscrew below the knob. no avail Thanks in advance!
ROADLESS Posted June 9, 2006 Posted June 9, 2006 IIRC You need to remove the interior door panel to access one of the lower mounting bolts. Yea, its a PITA, another round of applause for the Jeep engineers! :clapping:

pingpong Posted June 10, 2006 Posted June 10, 2006 Not really sure :roll: I know it is way lighter then it was before :brows: Espescially since I can't carry all the crap I used to keep in my rig :dunno: I also know I am going to pull 2 leafs out the rear so I can gain some flex :evil: Right now I hang a rear tire often, which creates some unique feelings when I am off camber and facing down hill :nuts:

urbanMJ Posted June 12, 2006 Author Posted June 12, 2006 So i ended up salvaging a bunch of parts from the junkyard today, the mirror being one of them. I ended up getting a non folding mirror! So now the mirrors don't match on my MJ. No big deal, pass safety, get plates -> fix the old mirror/get 97+ mirror =] thanks everyone for your help.
