background:

rainy, spun the truck ended up backwards for a moment (not used to manual) in 2nd gear goin backwards, slam on brakes stop, hit clutch.

engine revving really high somethin weiiird in the tranny going on. cut off engine, chill for a sec, turn truck back on, revs at a constant 1500.

i THINK the tranny is fine the @$$ end feels a little weird but I'm not sure if thats me hypochondriac-ing or not.

so engine now idles at 1500 rpm.

whattyou think went wrong? should adjusting the throttle with the allen wrench in the engine compartment fix it? did i mess anything up by being backwards in 2nd with the clutch out?

i hope i didnt blow it.

thanks for any insight,

-nick

Check the position of butterfly in the Throttle Body, it should seal completely at idle.

The air supply at idle should only be through the IAC channels, controlled by the IAC motor.

If the butterfly is partly open, check the throttle cable, if it's in close position, check for vacuum leaks.
