Buckets

I have an 87 Comanche with bucket seats. Between the brackets under my seats and brackets under 84-96 Cherokee power seats, will I be able to make the latter fit without major modifications, or would I have to fabricate something to make them work?

The brackets from the XJ power seats will not work without modification. I have a set and tested them and they don't line up at all with the MJ bolts.

Will the lower brackets (between the slider and the floor) of an MJ bucket fit on an XJ bucket?

I'm pretty sure that the part that actually sits on the floor is the same or atleast very similar in MJ buckets and bench. There is a writhe up in the DIY section on how to switch it over to the XJ seats.

I have seen write-ups, where you fit the XJ seat part of the slider into the MJ bracket side of the slider. However, these are XJ power seats. The slider part is not anywhere near alike.

 

If there's a write up somewhere on making XJ power seats fit in an MJ, my apologies.
