  1. I have an 89 automatic base model i6. She is pretty much stock as of now, I'm looking for ideas or suggestions in transitioning to a V8. This is my first project I have ever worked on so needless to say I'm a little green on the subject. I would say my end goal would be a pretty mean off road machine. Thanks for the help! I'm open to any and all suggestions!
  2. So I have a 95 dodge dakota sitting in my driveway, with a seized motor. I read somewhere that some dakota parts are interchangeable with MJs. Specifically talking about the fuel tank/sending unit. Can anyone confirm this? If not, is anything else on the dakota worth saving before I haul it to a scrap yard? My MJ is in need of a few minor things (antenna, parking break cable). Anyone know if any of those will work? I'm not sure exactly what year dakota parts are supposed to be interchangeable, as everything I have read just says "dakota". I would assume it would only be first gen dakotas though, in which case, I'm out of luck.
  3. Picked up a Regular CAB HEMI 4X4. This is a project for my son. I have a 2004 RAM QC (4 door) with lots of mods. 426CI HEMI, ATS Transmission, built axles, and a few other performance items. But being a 4 door truck, it weighs a bit more then a 2 door. So, the plan is to move all the performance stuff to the 2 door. I may break one of my rules and actually lower a 4X4 :) . 4. Okay so I'm going out on a limb on this project. I know its been done in YJ's and TJ's but ive never seen them in an MJ (or XJ for that matter). What I'm wanting to do is swap a 5.2L Magnum out of a 1999 Dodge Durango into my 1991 Jeep Comanche with a 4.0L, AX15, and NP231. I have the chance to buy this donor for $500. Its a 1999 Dodge Durango with a 5.2L, 44RE, and NP242(if i had to guess). As far as getting this motor to fit, that shouldnt be a problem, but the wiring harness and computer will be a different story. Is there anybody out there that can give a little advice on this swap? And if anybody wants to put their negative comments about "thats a waste of time" or "just drop a chevy 350 in it", i don't want to hear it. Hopefully someone can help me here
  5. Is there anyway I could swap dodge tow mirrors on my 92 mj? I know its been done on rangers so I'm just curious.
