i have a 89 pioneer 2wd which i am in the process of gathering all parts to convert it to 4x4.
i think the tranny is a ax-15 with the 2wd piece attached.
instead of switching the entire tranny assembly for the ax-15/np231 setup i have (my ttanny has less miles and a new clutch) can't the transfercase just bolt up to my tranny now?
nice :D
mines an 89, i paid $2000(CND)
2wd, SWB, 179,000km,
i only have surface rust spots on mine
planning a 4x4 conversion with SOA (5.5 inches of lifti think)
can't wait to see you finished product
i already have the 31's on my truck....i just want to get some more space in between the front fender and tire (less than 2 1/2")
ill keep looking around for what i want i guess....maybe just leave this for my project truck and finance a new mini...hahha
well 3.5" sounds perfect i think.
well ive decided to go against my dad and use the add-a-leaf.
anybody use the tuff country kit?

i found a donor MJ for my project :D
and ill probably just sell the axles i bought. only paid $25 for them both...
i personally wanted 3-4" of lift with 31"s and to convert to 4x4. my dad refuses to use the add-a-leaf lift because he hates it (to stiff). if i do the axle over with the dana 35 how much lift than? and would a need a long arm kit? I really don't want 6".
Thats it with the 31/10.50's
k ill start over haha.
I bought 2 axles (front and back) from a 96 cherokee. I'm putting them in my truck to convert it to 4x4. after lifting the rear however much it will be after putting the 8 .25 in, than want to even out the front so its about the same.
how would i go about doing this?
i think your right  thanks to all for the help  8)
and i have the same axle except its the front......just longer springs and shocks to make it work? I'm converting to 4WD....sick of getting stuck on flat ground......stupid albera weather
does it make a difference that my truck is 2WD? and also if i put the 8 .25 in the leaf springs are already on top of the axle.....which would lift the read 3".....right?
