  1. How much will an XJ shackle drop the rear? I'm going spring over but want about 4.5".
  2. My '89 MJ is blowing oil from the valve cover gasket, the rear main, and there's oil on the spark plugs. What's a ballpark figure for a rebuild? I don't want to get complicated.
  3. I'm not planning on fording rivers or anything. What about relocating the airbox or at least changing the intake location under the hood?
  4. Does anyone have plans for a homemade snorkel? Also, does PVC breakdown overtime due to exposure to sunlight? Would ABS plastic pipe be better?
  5. With 4.10 gears, what is the optimum tire size? 4.0L with AW4 Is 33" too much?
  6. My factory tape deck finally gave up the ghost. Does anyone have a diagram of what each wire in the radio harness does? I picked up an early model xj harness, but it isn't the same.
  7. Does anyone have any info on the RE 5.5" w/ drop brackets? I'd really appreciate input from those with the lift. Thanks.
  8. Mine had the same symptoms. It turned out to be a short at the bottom of the steering column.
  9. I'm looking to put a long arm lift on my '89 manche. After crawling around under the truck, I notice that there is some extra bracing to the unibody. Are xj long arm lifts a direct fit on an mj? I'm looking at TNT and Clayton's.
  10. I want to replace the D35 under my 89 MJ with somthing stronger. I've looked around for an XJ or MJ Dana 44...but people want a mint for them. So...I'm probably going to go with a 29 spline 8.25 or a ford 8.8. The 8.25 is easier, but the 8.8 is stronger. I'm probably going to run 33"s. Does anyone have any advice?
  11. I just bought a brand new 1989 4.0 autp sb 4x4 Comanche. I've lifted two XJs, but never an MJ. I've been searching for a lift that's around 6-8". Rusty's offers long arms in that range. Are they a good lift? I plan on daily driving the MJ so I need a good balance of road manners and wheeling ability.
