  1. I totally agree on the Rocky Road Lift. I paid 1 grand waited for 2 1/2 months for the complete kit, parts were missing. And after numerous calls they kept telling me waiting on parts I call bs. Finally decided to return the kit after I have called several times to get the last part to complete the kit. Its was a friggin brakeline extension thats all I needed and they told me I should've purchased one locally....really?!?! Why the hell would I pay that much money for a kit I can't install due to one missing part. Seriously avoid the hassle if you can. I am just gonna fab and piece together my own kit. :headpop:
  2. Alright now the tranny goes into all gears. But 5th & reverse do not engage when the clutch is released nothing happens at all. I can actually shift it into 5th & Reverse but something isn't engaging in the tranny. Is this the same issue??? :???:
  3. Ok I did it and it worked like a charm 1st-5th gears are good to go. Reverse didn't work but I will carefully pull the shifter back out and check to see what the issue is. I am also gonna take pics and create a little pic show on how to perform this task. Thank you guys so much. :clapping:
  4. Ok so I just recently replaced my blown ba10 with a low mile ba10 for cheap. I replaced all the normal stuff clutch, slave cylinder etc. Everything went together great, bolted the drivetrain up filled it with oil. Then finally bolted in the shifter to check the shifting out. But to my surprise 1st-4th gears don't exist and 5th & Reverse are the new 1st & 2nd gears. LoL :???: What research I have done leans toward the shift arms inside the transmission needing alignment. I have exhausted every forum google had to offer trying to find info on how to align the shift arms of my ba10 with no usable instructions. Does someone here know how to do this? Thank you in advance for any help you can offer. Keep Jeepin'
  5. Sweet sounds good I really appreciate the help. 33" is what I am running and 4.56s are on the way.
  6. Sorry to :hijack: hijack thread but is the dana 30 from the TJ a bolt in affair or is there fabbing involved to make it fit in the MJ? I have similar deal on a local dana 30 from a 98 TJ for $75. My dana 30 is on its way out and this deals kinda hard to pass up. Thanks in advanced. :wrench:
  7. Wow impressive explanation thank you so much. So I guess my next question would be if I want to improve upon the current setup on the 4.0 Renix ignition system. What kind of mods should I look into? Other than just replacing oem parts i.e. sparkplugs, rotor, etc.
  8. Well I learned something new today. And I really appreciate you guys with all of the input. Bc I have been considering HEI and I googled the shenanigans out of this topic for the MJ with no results. Thanks again.
  9. Eagle, please elaborate on your statement of moving backwards in technology. I have an 1988 MJ w/ 4.0l and maybe there's something you could share that'll be helpful for my project and other peoples projects. I've done an HEI setup before but that was on a CJ. So I am somewhat familiar with the workings of the HEI system, but unclear on the specific affects if installed on a renix or chrysler fuel injected engine. This subject if searched for on many forums has little to no useful info specifically in regards to our beloved Comanches.
  10. I may be a lil bit late in the game but http://www.dirtboundoffroad.com/ has a very clean and easy e-fan setup. Made for the XJ but I am sure you're aware of the similarities between MJ & XJ. A bit pricey though at $225 but it flow an average of about 4300 cfm. Hope this was helpful. :wrench:
