  1. One more person has joined the group buy. Get inline while you can. Just 2 more and I will be closing the group buy Steve Sorry for the double post on this.
  2. Another person has joined the group....just two more and the group buy will close. Steve
  3. That is understandable. A lot of man hours goes into prototyping a headliner. Just when you think you have it just right something goes off kilter and you have to go back to square one. I don't know how long it has been since I've seen an AMC Eagle. I see Jeep comanche's all around Atlanta. I don't think the demand would warrant the labor. Steve
  4. For the Canadian members this offer is extended to you as well. Please PM me on shipping details. There will be a shipping cost added but not full amount.
  5. Depending on the year model of your truck the oe headliner core could be a fiber formed headliner panel. This can delaminate over time. If your headliner material is sagging, the foam backing is deteriorating. It is less expensive to recover your existing headliner panel if it is in good shape. The custom made headliner panel provides a less labor intensive process. Remove your old one and install the new one. Yes instructions are included.
  6. Two people confirm via PM, 3 to go. As you follow this I have two other some what interested but not confirmed. Remember I am going to lock the group buy at 5 people confirmed. Steve
  7. This is for a complete headliner panel already covered and ready to install. Not a kit. The only thing you will have to do is trim the cloth where the sunvisor end clips go and then install it The last 2 year models used a different mounting option compared to the earlier models. I provide both options on my headliner panel. Hope this helps!
  8. I ship separately. I don't make the eagle headliner...just the Comanche If someone wanted more than 1 Comanche headliner I could work something out.
  9. One confirmed...4 more to go!
  10. Thanks for the reply! Let me just say that I do guarantee fitment without any modifications to the headliner panel itself.
  11. I'm Steve Bennett owner, SMS Headliners LLC. Around beginning of 2013, I offered the Comanche community a group buy on my custom made headliner panels. Group buy cost then was 5 people per group @ $100 which includes shipping. This new group buy would still be 5 people per group but the cost has gone up slightly... $115 including shipping. If you are interested in this, please send me a pm with your name, shipping address, color wanted, and email address. Once I have the interest of five people I will close the group buy and notify each interested party and go from there. Thanks and I look forward to doing business with you! 12. Correct me if I am wrong but isn't the torque flight 8 a Mercedes transmission or is it a Mercedes design?
  13. If you could source a Ram 1500 with the 3.6L and 8 speed automatic you will get 305hp unsure of torque 260 or 290 ft lbs. with a 6400lb towing capacity. I have a 2013 Ram 1500 crew cab with the 3.6L and 8 speed automatic and the performance is quite more noticeable compared to the 2002 Ram 1500 quad cab with the 4.7L V8 that I traded in. I believe this would be the better engine and transmission for the MJ. IMO Forgot to mention fuel mileage. Took a 1700 mile road trip earlier this summer. On the highway averaged 26.1 mpg and overall trip over a two week period was 22.7 mpg. Combined city/Hwy driving.

    Herculiner

Don't know about the toes of your steel toe'd boots, but will cover your rocker panels very well. Please be advised that it will eventually fade. Only way to keep it shiny from my experience was to go over it with epoxy spray paint. For adhesion you will need to lightly sand the surface you will coat, getting rid of any glossy surface, then wipe it clean with xylene before applying. Herculiner is a xylene based product. It can be sprayed on if you use a siphoning nozzle with a hard poly tubing to siphon from the can after it is well mixed. Be advised if you spray it on, use plastic to cover the rest of your truck with. in year 2000, I expanded my Mobile Headliner Replacement service to include Mobile Spray in Bed Liners as well. It is a good product for the bed if only you are going for light duty use. Again it will fade and if you read close enough to the fine print, it should read that it is biodegradable. So overtime, you will be re-coating or touch it up with epoxy spray paint. After a Year and a half of a very labor intensive process to prep a truck bed along with 9/11/2001, I quit providing that service. The 5 dealerships I was spraying in new truck beds, decided to provide this service for themselves and added it to their paint and body shop process. Since you will be doing your vehicle and your buddy's vehicle, do not allow much time in between coatings between both vehicles. he xylene will start to evaporate out of the mixture (this is the drying process) and will harden/clump up on you. Hope this helps.
  15. It is not too late. I just shipped 5 replacements out on this past Monday and going to work on more this coming weekend. Yours is next in line to be replaced. Since your on the West Coast, I don't know how long it would take for your visors to get here...5 days. I am going to be unavailable starting Saturday 6/22 - 7/7....long awaited vacation. I would prefer you send the visors when I would be here. Your headliner panel will be completed ready to ship on Monday 6/17 but I can hold it until your visors arrive. It will not take long to recover your visors. The day I receive them, that evening I could recover them and the next day ship them back to you with your headliner. If you can get the visors to me before next Thursday go ahead and send them. If you don't think you can, please wait to ship them to arrive after 7/7. I will hold your headliner panel based upon your advisement. Please let me know what you would like to do. Steve PM sent PM Replied
  16. Post #36 and #38 shows fitment in two separate Comanche's. Lead time at this moment is 8/1 - 8/15 time frame. Could be sooner. Trying to focus on all of the replacements as much as possible. I was shooting to have all the replacements completed by Friday 6/21 but I don't believe that will happen. With what I believe I can finish this weekend, I should have only 2-3 left to replace. I currently have 9 people on the waiting list to purchase. If you want to be place on the waiting list please let me know, you will be #10. Please PM me your Name and Address an email address that I can send a paypal invoice to when it is time too along with the color you will need. About 2 weeks prior to when I am ready to start on your panel, I will contact you to make sure your ready and we'll go from there. Please note the Group Buy discount has expired and the cost on the headliner panel is $135 which includes shipping. Steve .

  19. Just wanted to remind the Comanche Club members that I extended the Comanche Club Discounted price through the end of 31 May 2013. I do offer a recovering service for your sunvisors for $40 for the pair. To be placed on the waiting list, Please contact me at SMSheadliners@windstream.net with your CC username, Actual Name, Color needed, and if you need your sunvisors recovered. For those who are on my waiting list, please bare with me as I make the replacement headliners. I will fit yours in as I can. For those waiting on their replacement headliners, I had a slow start but am on a good roll now and you should be hearing from me soon on when to expect your headliner to ship. I am currently working on those that were purchased in January and have approx 12 left with 2 of them I am waiting on sunvisors. I am hoping to have all of these completed and shipped no later than Saturday 6/1....weather pending of course. Attention!!!

This house guarded by shotgun 3 nights per week! Guess which 3!
  21. For those who are still waiting on their replacements, I started production two weekends ago hoping to have made and shipped approximately 6 out by now but that has not been the case. The template change has added a couple of more steps that I have to take to create the headliner compared to last template. Also, wet weather has set in and this has slowed down production. I am working from my paypal list of when the invoices were paid that I sent. I hopefully should be finishing up those that purchased in the moth of January soon. I am showing a total of 15 members that I still have to provide replacements that were purchased in January. I have only 1 hour during the evening when I get home from my other job and then I have the weekends. I try to do atleast 3 per weekend and whatever I can get out during the middle of the week. Wet weather is a hindrance so I am having to work around that as well. I still have to sell other headliner panels and kits to maintain an operating budget so some time has to go towards that as well. I have members on a waiting list to purchase Comanche Headliners but my priority has to be focused on replacing the headliner panels that had the fitment issue. Some have requested to send me your sunvisors for me to recover them and have PM those but with no response. For those who purchased their headliner in January and you are wanting me to recover your sunvisors please send them now. I do not want to post my address here so please either PM me or email me. SMSheadliners@Windstream.net and I will send you my address for you to ship the sunvisors to and I will recover them for you. In case your paypal email address has changed, I will need to know that to send an invoice for your sunvisors. Your sunvisors will ship back with your headliner replacement. I do have others who purchased in February, I will be getting to yours as quick as I can. Thank you all for being patient with me on this. Steve
  22. Please do not attempt to install the headliner I sent you. It will just add aggravation and frustration that is not necessary. I will contact you shortly a week or two on when to send me your visors and material. Thank you for the offer to cover the shipping cost, but it is not necessary. I will go into detail when I contact you and every other member on the site that I am sending a replacement to. Steve
  23. I am going to try and start making the replacements this weekend. Skidoo_J headliner wasn't suppose to arrive until the middle of next week so I had made arrangements to get caught up on my Jeep CJ/YJ door panels this weekend. I should be able to do 2-3 panels at a time to ship out weekly. I don't have specific order on who gets what first. So I will try to get the replacements out in the order I received comments from. With me making 2-3 replacements at a time will leave room for me to make 1-2 more so I can keep an income flowing. I hope this is okay with everyone. For those who are on my replacement list, I will go through the list getting yours replaced a soon as possible. For those who have purchased and were waiting for the fitment test to complete, I will start on yours at the same time. For those who received my panels but did not respond to my postings for getting on the replacement list, I will be contacting you individually concerning the replacements. For those who are on the waiting list to purchase, please give me a couple of weeks and I should be contacting you in the order that I placed you on the list. A big thank you goes out to "Skidoo J" and "Old Man with MJ" for helping me correct this issue. And a very big thanks goes out to the members on this site who have been patiently waiting for this issue to be corrected. It is always Great to be able to work with and have customers just like you all! Thanks Again! Steve Bennett (a1500ram) SMS Headliners, llc
