  1. I have use rough riders before, for the price there a good tire and are good off road and quiet on road but they wear down really fast, and depends what ply you get. I never checked when I got mine and they only 4 ply :(
  2. So its been awhile since I updated and I am sad to say that progress on the Manche may slow up for a bit, well because I bought a 92 Eagle Talon Tsi I just couldn't pass up the deal. While I was going to pick it up from my bros shop he had part of a old roll cage that I got to make into my new front bumper, So now its Picture time... So this is what I started out with Image Not Found Image Not Found So I wanted to do an a mock up of what I want the bumper to look like. So I just cut some card board templates and taped to the tubing and painted it black to see what it would look like when done.. Image Not Found Image Not Found I think when all done it would look bad@$$ with a winch. I may cut it done abit more. So what do you guys think?
  3. :agree: what was said before, save your money and buy a nice one. I wish I had done that, And if you want to lift it don't ever listen to your friends cause 99% don't have a clue what their talking about...lol
  4. If your going to do a 3" lift, sometimes you have to re drill your track bar and other times you'll get lucky, or maybe that's just me? Since I just did my 3inch lift I couldn't be happier gives it a good look with low cost, And for the bed lengths LWB's are 10000000000000x better for actually putting stuff in the bed, lol but if your just gonna off road it get a SWB, And since I am a LWB lover get one, there just sexy...
  5. So I started watching eagle talon videos then some how I ended up in the weird part of youtube watching people make car sounds with beer cans? then cat fails, and finally started watching ricer videos. When I was watching one I seen what I thought was a cherokee driving by, but no I was wrong It was a comanche!!! Lets see if you can spot the MJ... ;)
  6. So I was looking through some adds on kijiji for a field truck, then I came across something you could only think of if your loaded and or slow... :shake: So here it is I may just email the guy about that civic and get a field car ahaha. it must have no power to turn those things :rotfl2:
  7. Think the easiest way to remove the bed without cutting it up is to use a hole saw (7/8 I believe) and after your done weld some washers in to fill in the hole. Image Not Found So thats what I did, now just have to weld washers in to decrease the size of the hole
  8. I have been working on the 8.8 now for the past 3 days and today I finally got it in, I now just need to get a new diff cover and do the brakes. And hopefully this week I can get my new drive shaft made. I also got some "sorta" new 265/75/R16 tires. I now have to finish cleaning and painting the rear frame section and make my gas tanks mounts (so its not attached to the bed), then the truck is ready for paint and body work. Image Not Found also here are two shots with the new tires... Image Not Found Image Not Found And if you noticed in the first pic the one tire is bald, but don't worry it's only my new spare... I didn't take any pictures of the progress on the axle because I just wanted it done with no delays :D
  9. That thing is a beast  got anymore pictures of it?
  10. I can't seem to find 2 manche's in my pictures, they were just rust buckets, lol but here is my brothers Lt1 Image Not Found Image Not Found and the next one to be scraped Image Not Found and the lowered 87 Image Not Found Sorry for the large pic's photobucket change the size when I try
  11. Thanks!! Between Inca Gold and Baltic Blue not sure which one I like better :hmm: There just give such a different look between the 2 Thanks... I can't wait to see more of you're RHD MJ, and what do you think of dark blue? I car,nt wait to get home to see more of my MJ. Hopefully my body man has kicked a few goals. As for colour you go with what ya hart tells ya  I,m leaning towards BLACK so i have the mathing pair But plumb crazey purple is looking good I was already thinking plum crazy for my next manche project
  12. Lol, yes they are very bald, but hopefully getting some 265/75/R16's soon :D
  13. I always thought it had only 31"s but I guess 80's pictures can be deceiving, And who can't love those headlight and tail light covers
  14. So Yesterday I finished my axle swap and put in my front drive shaft and DROVE It up the driveway!!!! Here are some pic's, Plus a Flex shot 8) Image Not Found Image Not Found Image Not Found I was surprised how much lift it gave me it was more like 3.5"
  15. Thanks... I can't wait to see more of you're RHD MJ, and what do you think of dark blue?
  16. So when I was swapping my axle and cleaning the frame rail I came across these number stamped into it I was wondering is the top number my build date and I have no clue what the bottom number is? Image Not Found These numbers are stamped on both sides, I never seen them on any of my other previous comanche's Thanks...
  17. I have an update!!!! So this weekend I was able to get my front end swapped (sorta) I just have to get a new nut for the drag link and it should all be done, And its a 3" lift just to get me started and on the road and I also finally got my headliner installed, I now just need to get black sun visors then the interior should be complete. My brother said if it moves under its own power he'll take it for paint, so there maybe paint in the near future, so any paint suggestions would be great!!! Thanks... It's a hover Manche. :brows: Image Not Found Image Not Found To show you haw rusty my old axle was Image Not Found Image Not Found Image Not Found And of course a shot of the headliner Image Not Found So that's my up date, So PLEASE give me paint suggestions my brother keeps saying black, he paints everything black :fool:
  18. So I got my 8.8 the other day :D , it turns out it wasn't 4.10's the tag was rusty and was hard to read, it turns out it was 3.55's so now ill leave my front axle alone, and re gear later down the road but the best part was that I picked the 8.8 up for a whopping $35 :jump: and I also got my gas tank wired so now i am just waiting to get gas to fire her up  and maybe put my front drive shaft in and take it for a spin Image Not Found
  19. Have another update on my build, so today I went to the junk yard and got my fuel tank which is a 22 gallon dakota fuel tank and right beside it was a 99 fuel tank with the pump, so I got the 22 gallon and 99 fuel pump for a $15 :D , also when I was there I found a Explorer with a 8.8 disc brakes, 4.10s and it was Lsd and I can probably get it for $50 Image Not Found maybe sometime this week I can get it running :jump:
  20. If your worried about lag run a small turbo ,plus I don't think your going to making more then 300whp, so lag really isn't a problem. and you could always invest in a anti lag system
  21. If you were going to make a drift MJ I'd use a 1jz turbo cause it cost the same as a N/A 2jz, even with one with a single turbo swap are cheaper then a stock 2jz, plus think about suspension first before an engine
  22. So I have an update on the truck , I took the bed off today which was a pita because only 5 off the bolts would come out and the others were just rotted and stripped but my homemade hole saw solved that problem  after I got it off I cleaned all the dirt and sand off and pushed it back in the garage to start cleaning up the frame Image Not Found Image Not Found Image Not Found Now the bed is just sitting on the trailer ready to go and get body work done Image Not Found I cannot wait till I start driving it again seems like its been in the garage being worked on more then I actually drove it,lol :wall:
  23. Found a pic of the interior Image Not Found
  24. Hope the link works
  25. Well i have seemed to have lost my pictures while i was doing the interior, so ill just show it 90% complete. but first a flex shot, lol :D and some other randoms I found Image Not Found what it would look like slammed with lots of camber :rotfl2: Image Not Found So this is my dad's Dakota beside my MJ (which is 0" of lift and has broken front coils and it sits the same height) 8) Image Not Found Now here is when I took the drivetrain out Image Not Found Got the engine bay cleaned and painted and wiring and what not installed Image Not Found It took me probably 4 hours of beating bending to get the engine to go in, it just didn't want to go in but it finally did(also with newer front end) Image Not Found got all my interior pieces painted, it was only about a shade or to off, but you only notice if you use flash with a camera Image Not Found I got most of the interior done but have a few more things to do but all the wiring is done and it surprisingly works ;) so this is about where I am with the build to date, now I am just waiting for my lift kit to come in then I get my front axle swap underway. this is my first time doing axle swap so any advice would be greatly appreciated, Thanks
