  1. I have not checked the 02 sensor. I will test that and the egr valve. Hopefully its one of those 2 things causing the issues. I do know both the 02 and egr are factory parts. I will also check the tps again

  3. Yes it happens as I'm pulling up to a stop. I don't get stoppped and it dies. Yes ive done the iac and throttle body

  5. Yes i looked closer tonight its supposed to go to the egr valve. Anyone know why they wouldve unhooked that line and stuck a bolt in it
  6. I checked all the vaccum lines and hoses they all look good no problems. I did find one hose unplugged and a bolt put in it. here's a pic of it
  7. Yes sir i have around 10 yrs ago when i first got the truck. I will check the intake bolts and do the steps again. I will let you know what i come up with. Any chance it could be the o2 sensor
  8. The truck starts good will drive just fine going down the road. Everytime you stop it dies. When it does you can smell gas. To get the truck to start again you have to crank and crank and pump the gas. This truck has been doing this since i got it about 10yrs ago. I changed the tps and cps made no difference. I put another computer from a salavage yard in it and that seemed to help. I gave the truck to my dad probably 3 yrs ago. And now the truck is back to its old ways. It will run all day long as long as you don't stop.
  9. somehow ive lost the nut that holds the dimmer switch in. wondering if theres somewhere I can find one without going to jy. if I have to go to the jy will the xj and mj interchange thanks
  10. I'm not sure what nut your talking about the manual ive got only shows one nut. that's the nut I keep tightening but the nut gets tight but the switch doesn't

I took my dimmer switch out because I thought it was bad turns out it wasn't. now I'm trying to get the thing back in everytime I tighten the screw it gets tight but when I put the pull out knob in it pushes the whole switch back into the dash. its a real pain wondering what I'm missing to get this thing back in right, thanks
  12. radio fuse and tail light fuse were both blown now I guess I got to try to find out why they blew. and get my dimmer switch back in right that thing sucks horribly thanks for the help

  14. just went and checked headlights and brake lights work. corner lights tail lights and dash lights and radio don't
  15. my dash lights stopped working so I replaced the dimmer switch and they still don't work. I don't know if the problems are related but my cd player won't light up or turn on at all. I could get it to eject a cd but not take a cd without forcing it. is there a fuse that controls the dash lights and the radio or what else could it be thanks
  16. got it figured out 1 injector was leaking slowly and I replaced all the orings just last year. but mechanic said it was a bad injector not the gasket so now its got 1 new injector think il go ahead and replace them all.

  19. I have a 90 Comanche with the 4.0 and it smells like your riding around with a open gas can. It doesn't do it all the time and ive looked and can't find a leak anywhere around the engine the injectors aren't leaking that I can see. any help appreciated thanks
  20. I called the guy about the xj and he knew nothing about the lift or the xj for that matter he bought it that way. I think I'm gona keep looking as far as mpg goes heck id be lucky to get 20mpg out of my 2 wheeldrive mj
  21. thats kinda what I thought it really won't be a dd I have a 90 mj 2 wheel drive thats my dd this will be my hunting and bad weather rig.
  22. hey guys ive found a 1992 xj with a 7inch lift it has the 4.0 and auto. what are some things I need to look for or be catious of when i go look at the truck. with a 7inch lift would this be good for a dd or is itmainly trail with that much lift. thanks

  24. ok the guy who has the 93 told me hed sell me the tranny front and rear diffs transfercase and anything else i need except the motor for 500.00 is there anything else I will need besides what I have mentioned. thank you for the help
  25. sorry for another one of these questions but I couldnt find what I was looking for with the search. anyway I have a 90 comanche with auto trans and 4.0. will a 93 cherokee with 4.0 auto trans work for the 4x4 swap. I can't get the motor id have to use my 4.0 he wants to keep the h.o
