I'm looking to do a few upgrades on my stock 4.0 so far I've came up with a cam swap to a comp cams high energy piece along with their roller timing set as well as summit's own high performance ignition box,coil and taylor's thundervolt wires.I noticed on the comp website that the cam is advertised for use on 84-97 4.0's but is NOT for use with fuel injection,if their cams aren't compatible who makes one that is? I'm looking for as much low end as possible along with maybe some improved mileage,also will the summit ignition box and upgrades work with my year model comanche? anyone run after market hi-po ignition systems?

so what exactly does this valve do? keep the back from locking up? give pressure to the drums before the front discs?

do all comanches have this? I'm planning on doing a huge overhaul on mine in two weeks?

My 89 comanche 4.0 has a problem starting when it's dead cold,I've thought of checking the coolant temp sensor to see if it's within range or maybe the TPS sensor isn't calibrated properly (engine was rebuilt less than a year ago),the fuel pump is new and I haven't had time to spare and really look at the components,also is there any way to make the engine start quicker rather than the long cranking that 4.0's do before they start?

What if you're using a pressure bleeder?

Whats up guys? just got my very first Comanche this past Monday the 7th, I got it for free as a gift from my older brother We've been true blue Mopar guys since way back and I've always wanted a cool compact truck,it's an 89 model year with a 4.0 and column shifted auto dana 35 with the 6 foot bed,I wish I could post pics but I need to find my camera first,I hope to be able to make this a reliable daily driver. I've done some research on my new toy and am aware of the renix system and some other small details that have to be addressed I'm very familiar with fuel injection systems and using a voltmeter to diagnose problems,I'll be on the website a lot trying to soak up as much as I can and maybe try to help out a little. :cheers:
