My bed is rusted. Bad. I'm thinking of taking off my bed and having a custom cage built over the frame. Like a truggy. Or just cut off the out side of my bed and just keep the inner tub and built the cage around that? And I'm wanting the cage to go around the cab eventually. I'm really liking his look viewtopic.php?f=7&t=32113 But in just asking to see pics of exo cages. If you have any.

My Friend is over heating...
Paul Bruchal replied to Paul Bruchal's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
He took his radiator to a friend of his for him to clean it out yesterday. He came back this morning to pick it up and the guy told my friend that his radiator is clogged with "Stop Leak from LAST OWNER" and he couldnt get it out. Buying new radiator right now. Lesson learned today: don't put anything but coolant and water in yo radiator! Ill try to get a pic of his MJ. The only way I can describe how it looks is : military/tactical with a smoke stack -
Is this plug_n_play? stereo stuff
Paul Bruchal replied to Paul Bruchal's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
I just called the last owner of my MJ and he said is to disconnect the batt. and connect it again then hold the #6 button for 30 sec. And it worked. Now hopefully the system I just installed will shake all the lose rust off my jeep! -

Before I go to boot camp...
Paul Bruchal replied to Paul Bruchal's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
Alright, I thought I knew what back spacing was, but I guess I don't.. All I know about the black rims I have now is that they make my tires stick out past the fender flares about 3"...Thats what I'm looking for for less rubbing right? -
Before I go to boot camp...
Paul Bruchal replied to Paul Bruchal's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
I had a set of black ""D window" idk if thats the right name"" rims on my first MJ. When it got totaled, the front passenger rim was bent in half! I kept the 3 good rims and traded my friend 4 new BFG ATs. He said he'll by me 1 new black rim to go with the 3 I already have... I think they are 15x8s maybe... They should have more back spacing than stock rims. -
Do you have anymore pics? Its one of my fav MJs on here! I'm really wanting to build mine like yours...
-
What kind of rims are those? Humvee?lol

Before I go to boot camp...
Paul Bruchal replied to Paul Bruchal's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
Reason why I think I can do this, is because I have stock tire size and a big gap between fender and tire already. And I don't have bald tires. -

Okay Ill wait on the lift... But I think I can fit 30" or 31" tires with very little rubbing http://motionoffroad.com/catalog/index. ... cts_id=555 Maybe longer brake lines? And to answer a question on which part of the Navy I want to go in, SWCC if i can, if not, Seabee? -

Most all suspension manufactures sell components individually. Any retailer should be able to get what you want. I would recomend searching for used parts in forum classifieds and on craigslist. Most of the time a high quality used part is cheaper than a new 'cheap' part. If buying new individual components I usually shop at http://www.northridge4x4.com Dave has always done me right. Most of the stuff on his site is listed for a TJ. But remember a lot of TJ/ZJ/MJ/XJ parts are the same. Just research it. I went to MotionOffroad.com and I found everything you listed... I don't know if its the cheapest.. -

I might do this. Where can I find separate parts like that? -
I want to lift my MJ, and drive it with 33" tires.... I'm thinking a cheap, quick "not long term" lift kit. http://www.amazon.com/dp/B003EOFFNQ/ref ... B003EOFFNQ I know all of you are against this lift. Like I said its not a long term lift, just something to I want to do before I leave....
