have to start driving the comanche on the highway more often pretty soon and do not want to have to deal with this happening every time :dunno:

I think i may have a blowby issue on my hands and wondering if you guys could help me out. I have been trying to pin point a strange oil leak for a while and have checked almost everywere and seemed to find nothing. The other day i took the manche on a 15 min drive on the highway and stopped and when i did it smelled like oil..bad. so i opened the hood and noticed oil all around the oil cover area but not on the hood. I only notice the leak bad when at high rev's. I have an aftermarket breather on that seems like it could be a little loose and kind of $#!&ty really. I have a K&N cone filter so i l really don't have a place to plug in a good pcv hose. Should i just go back to stock air filter and hose or is there a better aftermarket breather i could buy that is better for highway use. Any input would be appreciated!! thanks guys

Just wanted to say thanks Pete for this write-up it was a god send. My jeep was stuck somewhere 20 miles away from the house with the oil cap off inside the hood cause the oil change shop didn't put it on tight enough >< but i went to close my hood came back with a new oil cap and the damn hood wouldnt open. Went home pissed off looked at this write-up and bada bing bada boom fixed in about 30 minutes  -
wow man 330,000 miles? thats the highest i think i have heard of yet! lol. I'm glad you still got the love for it to keep it rolling  And thanks I will check those places out more closely and try to figure out exactly where its coming from.

yeah well so far mine has been pretty reliable lately. I just have a small oil leak that has occured lately and i mostly notice it the heaviest when i get out of my car after i turned my jeep off. it will drip a little for about 5 min then stop. could maybe be leaking a lil bit while driving I'm not 100%. I tried to look to see exactly where the drips were coming from and didnt see anything sketchy. anyone know what it could be?

I'm sorry man :/ you should still keep your head up and keep chugging away at it little by little. It may be a pain in the as for the time being but in the long run in it will be worth it. These are great little trucks with a little TLC ;) Even if it does mean walking away from it for a bit. But its only a matter of time before your driving it down the road as happy as the little yellow guy in this manche lol

Just wanted to say i love my MJ ..just thought people would like to know..lol

Yeah I love it and no i do not have any pics right now of the interior cage but i could take some tomorrow. can't wait to wheel it this summer -
Hey guys I was thinking about muffler options and saw a good deal locally on a purple hornie muffler with exhaust tip. Thought itd be good cause i like shorter exhausts and i read pretty good reviews of the muffler. Just wondering if you guys have any experience with the purple hornie or heard good things about them.
