there has probably been this same post on here before so I'm sorry.but my question is.i want to do a spring over axle lift.but i only want 4" or 4.5". is there a way i can build a spring pack from other leafs off of other vehicles so i don't have to spend the extra money on a new spring pack?? i don't want to do a add a leaf but I'm open for input on them?

i think the cherokees came out in 84.comanches were in 86.

i bout a 1985 honda fourtrax 250 this weekend.it needed a new motor but i got it in the deal too.but its missing wiring.i need to know about the coil wire, cdi box, anything that pretains to the spark plug.all i have is the plug and the boot and about 6 inches of wire offa that.i need some major help guys!

tightened the bolts on flex plate up.there was 1 loose one hitting the dust plate.problem solved!! :cheers: but i was drivin today and this only happend for a mile i herd a awful squeeking sound that got worse when you hit the brake.it only did it once though.i don't guess that was anything ot worry about?

so the tranny will soon crap out?

well i just went out to move the truck outa the way so i can get out for school in the mornin and noticed.if i put the truck in reverse.the knock stops.then when i start going backwards it starts again.I'm not sure if that is any help or not? and i turned it on bout 20 mins after i shut it off and i didnt have the knock anymore.i didnt put it in gear this time though.

last nite my truck was fine.and when i left this mornin it was fine.i got 20 minutes down the road and it sounded like a diesel.it has a very loud knock on the drivers side of the motor near the rear of it.what could this be?? also when I'm taking off in 1st gear i have a very loud whining sound.it continues to 2nd and then quits in 3rd and OD.its a 4.0 6cyl and the tranny is a aw-4 automatic.

:agree: i can't argue with you there.I'm from loudon tennessee which is about 30 minutes south of knoxville.my comanche is mostly rust free the floorpans are probably the worse rustspots on the truck! :cheers:

how many miles does your comanche have on it without anything done to the motor? trying to get a idea if i lucked out or not.mine has 278k!

there are 2 wires behind you back bumper.they look like they should be plugged together.they should not!!!!!! they will blow your fuse for your dash lights,door buzzer,tail lights and parking lights!!! well on a 87 anyways.

where can you find a gauge cluster at?? ive seen some at the yard but i don't trust myself to take them out :no:

next weekend is my set date to pull up the carpet.i have thout about the ben liner stuff to put over it.I'm tearin out all the carpet and rubber.so it will be bare metal. what is your guys expiriances and any tips on this project?

so guys, i replaced my water pump today and when i was waiting for my thermostat to open when i was puttin water back in my engine was gettin reallly hot.so we let it set for 5 minutes and opend the cap to the reservoir and all the coolant drained then.isnt there suppost to be a hole or somethin to let air in there so the coolant can go to the block?? and does a 87 2wd manche have a dana 44 in the back with a 4:10 gear??

how much do you have to level the front on a 87 to clear 31 10.50s? ill probably run coil spacers if i do this.

well gues i got to lookin when i was changin my oil and i seen i had some wires hangin.they went to a sensor on the side of the block.i figured it was the throttle body temp sensor.can that effect my mileage and is that it??its rite in front of the manifold on the block.its a 87 4.0L.

I'm gettin about 15-17.depends on where I'm driving of coarse.i would say 17 mostly.

anybody know any tricks to give me some better gas mileage?? 87 comanche.4wd.4.0L 6cyl fuel injection. I'm open to anything

i don't really want to trim the fenders unless i have to
