Lol less than $1200
-
Yeah thats what me and my brother have always done on our vehicles, but we were trying to spend a little less this time. I have over $1200 worth of TIG welded stainless exhaust in one of my XJs...trying to spend way less on the MJ.

Hi guys I'm looking for a cat back system for a short bed 90 MJ, will the ones made for an XJ fit? Also would like any recommended places to buy one from. Ideally I would like stainless with mandrel bends, 2.5"
-
Yes, that is exactly where we got it...thanks! We'll be giving it some TLC, and it might eventually be fitted with an HO stroker and some forced air.

My brother just bought this Jeep...not one like it this specific Jeep, a few days ago! We flew down to Florida to pick it up and drove it back to NY. Its a 1990 2wd, 5 speed, 4.0 with 249k miles. Rear bumper is now black all else looks the same.

I have been watching, and it seems all the cars are from the 80's and earlier, show creators must be car guys because most depictions are fairly accurate down to wood dash in Dodge. Don't know if its because the cartoon is old or if that's just the style. Saw an El Camino, 80's Vette, 69 Challenger, VW wagon.

Was watching cartoon network with nephew and lo and behold a white Comanche appears. The episode even refers to Jeepers Creepers, though it has nothing to do with Jeeps. Cartoon is "Regular Show" episode is called Peeps. http://www.cartoonnetwork.com/tv_shows/ ... index.html

H3RESQ's Dream MJ, the build continues...

Awesome MJ...one of the best. -
Hey Harwood! good to hear from you! Hope all is well old friend.
-
Yes I did make them. No drip pans Yes I am a member of ecomodder, they inspired me to use chloroplast for the bed cover. Thanks!
-
Here are some pics of some of the mods done so far to make the Jeep more competitive...and more fuel efficient. Have tons more to go. Don't worry the bed is getting replaced, and the Jeep will be lowered as far as she goes once we get the low profile race tires on.

Curious to know if MJs were ever offered with power windows and a full XJ style center console?

The worlds Fastest Comanche
XJguy replied to Worlds Fastest Comanche's topic in Member Projects: Your Comanches
Great article! -
Its what I have and the price and mileage was right. I wouldnt want to risk a good Comanche racing.
-
Yes you read right. I have a 4x4 Pioneer MJ that I want to convert to 2wd, for race track use. Its a 91 HO 4.0. with AX-15. I would like to know if I can just remove the t-case and use my current tranny? I know that the factory 2WD models have a longer tail cone, but I don't know if that makes a difference. I already have the 2WD axle, cross member, and drive shaft. Now I just need to figure out the tranny part. BTW I will be selling the entire 4wd system upon completion if anyone is interested (axle [new hub, discs, pads, CAD fork], t-case, tranny mount, shaft and maybe tranny if I can't use it). 90k miles no offroad action, t-case NP-231, might need a new chain.

Check my sig. I'm in Merrick NY 11566
-
Well found a cheap place to buy the fork 4wd.com, only $12, but in the meantime I stuck a hose clamp in there and its working well so far.
-
Well I finally figured it out. Took the whole thing apart again and noticed that the fork had a good amount of play, so I took it apart to add some washers or a bushing to take of the slack, to my surprise the fork was actually broken at the shaft, once the clips were out the whole thing fell apart. Called the dealer and he has none available but its not discontinued, and can be ordered, he said he never saw one of those break, usually its just vacuum issues. So now I need a new shift fork. Anyone have one to spare? Need ASAP, snow on the way.
-
My shift fork cracked need another ASAP. Thanks.
-
don't know, have to discuss that with my brother since we are in this together. We won't be swapping things out until the winter is over; might as well make use of the 4wd system since its in there. More importantly is where are you located? Shipping these parts would be prohibitively expensive. BTW the parts only have 86k miles on them
-
This Comanche is being turned into a racing Jeep, for use on the track. But I got the parts already, thanks anyway guys.

Wanted Comanche decals who makes them?

Rear Brake caliper bracket question
XJguy replied to comanche12's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
All that matters is that the bleeder screw is at the highest point it can be. Manufacturers position brakes in different spots due to the whole package. So wherever it fits where you can still use your e-brake and have the nipple up top is fine.
