I have!! every time I would go out I’d make sure to check if it was filled up and if not i’d refill it up. I’m just genuinely stumped because I feel as if i’ve done all the proper steps to fixing it. The only thing I can think of is if my mechanic didn’t do a good job
-
honestly i’m not sure, I had my mechanic provide and install it for my since it was already at the shop getting the heads repaired. how could i tell the difference?
-
I didn’t have a thermostat before either due to the previous owner but i had my mechanic install a new one and purge out the cooling system of any air
-
honestly I had all my mechanic do that stuff so i’m not sure i can answer, but the gauge on the dash board goes all the way near the second to last line whenever i go highway speeds. the clutch fan isn’t worn out much because i had it installed before and it did a great job at cooling the truck down so I'm just stumped on what it could possibly be
-
update, so I had changed the water pump and had the heads resurfaced because they were warped and had even installed stock clutch fan/electric fans back on the truck but it still overheats. any ideas why?? i’ve never had any overheating issues until now
-
wow, I think that just might be my issue. I originally added electric fans because my AC guy told me it would help with pushing in more air but after having them installed that’s when the truck started overheating
-
could that lead to the overheating issue?
-
have they been reliable so far? honestly i don’t want smth crazy just a little more power yknow
-
I have a guy in mexico who does custom setups but if i’m remembering correctly the fans are malibu’s
-
^ the truck would never overheat before either
-
I just serviced it not too long ago, i replaced the radiator, installed electric fans, new spark plugs, spark plug wires, distributor cap and rotor. It was working fine until this week where everything just went downhill
-
Sorry blew up might not be the right term, but it’s been running bad, overheating tons, burning oil, and just yesterday i started getting misfires
-
so my motor just blew up today a little over 300k miles, I was wondering just how reliable 4.6 strikers are and if they’re worth it? or is it worth just rebuilding the motor how it is

it’s a Laredo!!!

Diagnosing noise from engine bay
BEEDOSAUCE replied to BEEDOSAUCE's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
sorry I should’ve specified a bit better, it doesn’t make the initial sound as it does when starting up but it sort of enhances the sound it makes while idling -
IMG_5689.mov 1988 Jeep Comanche 4.0 16. I just recently got my truck back from the painters shop and now it's making this weird sound whenever I start it up and when I accelerate. any clues on what could be causing it? my guess is the starter but i'm not too sure

factory style fog lights
BEEDOSAUCE replied to BEEDOSAUCE's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
ahhh that explains a lot, I installed some RC led headlights and haven’t gotten around to installing the kit so the low beams aren’t working atm. once they’re up n running the fog lights should start working correctly? -
factory style fog lights
BEEDOSAUCE replied to BEEDOSAUCE's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
any idea on why it’s not turning on? genuinely stumped with this, could it be a fuse that may of went out? -
Hello, i’m currently running into trouble while trying to install some factory style fog lights, i’ve already bought an OEM harness with fog lights and some HELLA fog lights but I think my issue is the switch. I got a switch from the junkyard but it was for the trans power/comfort and it doesn’t want to turn on at all. Does the switch need to be specifically for the fog lights or is something else the issue?
-
honestly super happy with the end results of the comanche’s paint job 🙏now all that’s left is hooking up some fog lights and she’ll be done for now
-
how she’s coming along!! got plenty of other stuff waiting to be added once it’s done painting such as factory style fog lights and roll bar
-
by any chance do you have the link for the harness kit?

I’ve been planning on adding fog lights for a while, can I just buy an OEM harness with fog lights and connect them to the fog lights/switch? or is there anything else that I would need to do

anyone know if there’s a legit website or where to buy things such as bed covers, roll bars, etc? I’ve looked all across facebook and even in mexico and I just can’t find anyone that’s selling parts.
