  1. There used to be a yahoo group called RenixPower that laid out the data for reading codes from DRB connector. The guy that made the Renix engine monitor built off of this to build his device. Anybody know where I can find some of this old data since yahoo groups doesn't exist anymore? I am going to attempt to build a monitor with a raspberry pi if I can get my hands on some that data.
  2. The one for the 4.0 is at Napa. Part #7151365 https://www.napaonline.com/en/p/NOE7151365 Do you think I should just order this a cut the hose shorter to fit?
  3. so what I found on the Mopar site diagram were these grommets for front and back....and this elbow and pcv valve for the front and back. I already ordered and shipped them to my house. Seem to fit snug on the new valve cover but not sure if I should use or not Grommets: https://www.autozone.com/emission-control-and-exhaust/pcv-valve-grommet/p/dorman-pcv-valve-grommet-42059/730537_0_0 Elbow (Front) https://www.amazon.com/Crown-Automotive-J3236685-Valve-Elbow/dp/B00BA770IM PCV Valve (Back) https://www.amazon.com/Standard-Motor-Products-PCV-Valve/dp/B000C842AO
  4. the one in the rear. Right now it has a homemade rig with a hose as a grommet with a pcv valve pushed in haha.
  5. Having a tough time finding this. Found the one for the 4.0....but can't find the one for the 2.5L
  6. Hi, still learning a lot about my Renix. I have the stock airbox removed because it was warped....so I just threw on a cheap air intake. The "Hot air hose" that was attached to the bottom of the air box was attached to this metal tube by the engine. I've read its used for cold starts but isn't necessary and can be removed. What do I need to do to the metal tube that the hot air hose attaches to? Close it off? Leave it open?
  7. https://youtu.be/Nh9QiZJ7o9w I found this YouTube video of a guy with a 89 Cherokee 4.0 that connected external tach. The coil is in the same location on the 2.5L
  8. I think I'm going to leave in the dummy gauge cluster and do an external tach...especially since I already have an external water temp gauge. Anything special for installing the external tach that I need to be aware of?
  9. I got all my gauges working now. The 88 electrical manual is the best thing I've found here. Since reading around I've figured out that dash swap is not gonna happen without engine swap. I have the dummy gauge cluster....so I'm hunting for one with tach to swap with but been having a tough time finding one.
  10. My dad bought this Comanche for me back in 2005 when I was 14 years old. It was my daily driver during high school and I gave the truck back to my dad when I went to college. He died a few years ago and I moved the truck back to my house. Truck is still running but needs a lot of electrical work. 1987 Comanche Base 4x4 2.5L 4cyl. 4 speed manual transmission. Current Location: North Mississippi Status: Still running and parked in my driveway . Needs electrical work and general checkup of all components. Mainly use as hunting and fishing truck and hauling items around town. Does not go on highways. Green but I don't think it was the original paintjob. I believe the owner before I got it repainted it. I think the original color may have been grey or silver based on paint chip layers. Currently trying to diagnose gas gauge, blinkers not working, and other indicator lights not working. I'm also performing electric fan conversion, floor pan replacement, door vent window replacement, and valve cover replacement over the next few weeks. As soon as I finish those items I'm installing new suspension, touchscreen single din android headunit, speakers, windshield, window seals, and wheels/tires. Rear axle also needs some tlc. I'm hoping to have majority of these tackled over next 2-3 months. Hopefully after I get all of this completed I will be able to focus on body aesthetics...repairing dents/dings, and give it a new paint job. I've pondered doing the 87 to 97 dash swap....but I'm not sure if its worth the hassle. I'm looking to ruggedize and modernzie certain components on the Comanche but not sure what benefit other than aesthetics that I would gain from the dash swap.
  11. Anybody got a copy of the M.R. 277 in pdf format? Just thought I'd check here before buying one. Finding the 1988 Electrical manual on here was a god send.
