CCV Valve Replacement

Is the front elbow valve not available? I have been to several parts stores and they can't even find what it is much less sell me one. -
CCV Valve Replacement

Thank you very much for the info. I tried to look on your Mostly Renix Tips but I guess I missed it. -
I am getting excessive oil in my air breather. So much so that it leaked all over my driver shock, spring, and everything g else in that area. after researching I have decided to try the CCV on the valve cover. I went to autozone and got the grommet and valve for the front. They are different though from what I had in there. the new valve (although same number on part) has a lip around the bottom. It won’t fit in the valve cover without the grommet much less with the grommet in there. the grommet may be correct but not sure. can someone tell me the part numbers I need for the valve and grommet? also, I have the elbow valve up front but just a straight port with hose stuck in on the rear. Should I replace the rear also? if so part numbers? thank y’all so much.

And it just wouldn’t be a jeep without another problem once one is fixed. after a 30 mile interstate drive I got home and had lots of oil on my front driver shock and inner fender and other places in that general area. Opened the air box after noticing lots of oil at the bottom of the air box. My air filter had lots of oil in it. Now I’ll have to try and address that issue. -

Well, the lift is on, finally. Ended up having to get some help from a local shop. I don’t have help around here and needed some extra hands. I am happy with the way it turned out. Rides great. Haven’t flexed it anywhere but the ride is better and with new U joints it’s definitely noticeably stronger when taking off and shifting gears. anyway, here are a few pics. -
Coming along nicely.

Hopefully this will be the last photo as stock height. All my lift is in and will be starting on that this weekend. Also, trying to redo these 86 Comanche side badges. First a coat of flat black for the background then I will try to polish that off to reveal the silver underneath. -

Was there ever really any other choice for a radio? The Comanche Pioneer got a Pioneer radio today. on a side note…… the radio guy said ninjas no power behind the radio. He had to run two new power wires. He also said that my blower motor was causing my fuse box to almost melt. Said it was getting so hot that he almost went through the fuse with the tester. what could cause that ? No grounded properly? Something else ? -

Replaced my headliner yesterday. It was not very hard but I did make a couple mistakes early on that I corrected as I went. Mostly, my backing board was pretty rough. Some of the glue pulled up chunks of the backing board and I did not think it would be noticeable but it is slightly. The first corner I had a wrinkle but was able to see what I was doing and how to correct it so that the others are just about perfect. All in all, I am happy with the way it turned out. If I ever have to do it again I will make some corrections and should be an easier process. Here are a few photos of course. One of my visor clips is broke but I was pointed to someone here who makes them. Maybe I can get one and paint it and replace it. I also need to source some new grey sun visors. Mine are pretty much shot. -

The interior turned out to be a bigger job than expected or at least take longer than expected. Still need to do the headliner. I am waiting on the spray adhesive to come in. The full dash cluster is ready to go in I believe. I upgraded to all LED lights in the Cluster. The lift is just about all in. Just waiting on a slip yoke and drop pitman arm. Shocks came in yesterday. Before I start the next big project on the Comanche I wanted to just drive and enjoy it some so for the last week I have been taking it out in the evenings and just cruising around town. I have enjoyed driving this truck. It reminds me of when I was younger. The first few vehicles I had were old 80s model 4x4 trucks with manual transmissions. Anyways, I thought I would share a few pics of the truck out and about. -

Definitely well packaged. The pillar speaker was originally a 4x6 so I went back with a stock size. Just need something to listen to. Don’t have to be super loud. I’ll be sure to keep the site updates on the kit. -

On Sunday, March 13, 2022 most of my lift showed up. Still missing a few pieces such as the shocks, drop pitman arm and YJ Slip Yoke which are being drop shipped from someone other than Rocky Road Outfitters. I was told that after a phone call to make sure those parts were on the way and not forgotten. Since they sent some new stickers I figured I would put one on the inside of the tool box. I don't like stickers on my vehicles for the most part. Where do you put your stickers? -

Kind of what I was thinking with the vinyl also. It seems easier to get locally than the headline cloth/foam material. -

Thanks. If I had a shop here at my house I would def. get more done. Hard to squeeze in my job, family stuff and working on this all in day light hours. Maybe I'll get some lights....... or build a shop. -

Wanted to give an update on the lift situation. I had inquired about ordering a lift from Rocky Road Outfitters. I read mixed reviews and others shared concerns about ordering from them. Said they were super slow on shipping and that the customer service was spotty. It gave me pause but in the end they just had everything I wanted so I gave them a shot. They told me they were running about 5 weeks out which was fine for me. I have plenty other things to work on. I ordered on Feb 21 and they shipped it on March 10. So they actually have shipped it all in 17 days. Not too bad and that is including the weekends too. So far I have been very pleased with the customer service on the phone and then so far with the ordering process. All the parts should arrive Tuesday March 15. -
Nice. That truck is tall for sure.

Thank you. I am also a sucker for the Colorado Red trucks. I have been enjoying working on this one the short couple months I have had it. Hope to get lots more done in the coming months. -
