  1. Would a performance lightweight flywheel (5-8lbs. lighter) help out a lot or a little on a 3.4L motor. Use as street/ DD. I know on my Grand Am it made a world of difference that a 4Cly. though. Thanks

  3. would you say the centerforce clutch would be a good investment with a DD. I've heard that they engage hard.
  4. I was wondering if anyone was running the Spec stage 1 clutch in their Comanche, I have somewhat of a lead foot and I also ride the clutch more then I should. I'm just looking for something better then an OEM clutch. I also just picked up a 3.4 motor to swap my 2.8 don't know if I have to step up to something a little more aggressive or not. Thanks
  5. I have always had a blackberry since the 8703e came out then upgraded to a 8330 curve now I have the Bold 2 9650 never had problems with them except on the curve track ball kept getting stuck on it.

  8. hi, I got a 2.8 v6 and I'm looking to purchase the Edelbrock intake manifold, but don't know what carb to purchase. Should I run the factory or the 390 Holly? I've even seen some people run a 500. I'm looking for the most reliable option. Thanks

    WTB 3.4 motor

    Want to do engine swap to a 3.4L in my 1986 Comanche. Let me know what you got, not looking to spend a lot, Located in Ames, IA. Thanks
  11. I would take a volt meter to the positive cable that goes to the starter and try to turn it over without the starter of course, if you don't get a full 12 volts check your cables. If you get a full 12 volts then your starter windings are bad.
  12. I do believe that is the clip I'm currently running... not for sure, but looks the same.
  13. Are you sure your getting a full 12 volts at the starter? check fuses? Battery charged?
  14. I am looking for a front clip from an XJ to do a swap and I was wondering what a good price to pay for it would be. I searched salvage yards in my area and it seems for the clip its around $525 to $1250. Thanks
  15. So does that mean that I can put 3.1/3.4 heads on my 2.8 wit the intake? Or does the whole Iron heads and aluminum heads run an issue?

  17. So I'm assuming a performer intake is referred to as a Torker II then.

These are the only ones I found for the 2.8 Their listed as Performer series Edelbrock Base Intake Part Number 3785 Edelbrock top manifold for 4B/4V carb 3789 as I was searching for them I ran across a camaro forum that they stated that they had Torker II's on their 2.8's. They might be the same part IDK
  19. So I was at the track the other day when I saw an S10 with a 2.8 in it I talked to the guy and he told me that the Torker II and Performer intakes were the same part, Is their any truth behind this?
  20. Does anyone know the Part number to the Edelbrock Torker 2 intake manifold for the 2.8 60 degree v6 I've looked everywhere but all I can find is the Edelbrock performer OEM replacement intake manifold. Thanks

  25. Hi, I have a 86 MJ with the 2.8 V6 5spd manual trans. I'm in the process of restoring it and was wondering if there are any somewhat easy v8 swaps that would work for my application. I've did searches and couldn't find anything Thanks!
