  1. Well since I picked up the ole MJ I have completed a tune up, new water pump, got the bucket seats installed, headliner hung, new stereo and speakers, new wheels and tires, upgraded the mirrors on the outside and finally an old looking bumper guard. Nice rig to haul my canoe around.
  2. I unscrewed the pipe on the left that you are talking about and got it out of the way, as far as the PS pump I loosened the bolts enough to wiggle the water pump out. It's a tight fit, and be careful when placing the new one on. I dabbed a little rtv on the gasket to keep it on and in place while turning it almost 90 degree to slide it into and behind the PS bracket. Hope this helps. Jim
  3. My old XJ did the same damn frustrating thing and it was like ^^ said the CPS, 2 bolts behind valve cover pain.
  4. Well I have been wanting to scratch the MJ itch for years. After several XJ's and my last WJ, which I sold in order to pick up an MJ. It is an 89 4.0, 2wd, 5spd, and it runs like a top. I picked it up from the original owners family. I drove it from Midvale,UT up Parleys Canyon into Evanston WY after it has been sitting for months. Here sits Stewey: I have removed the rotted exhaust and replaced with Magnaflow super 44 and tip, a good tune up, and picked up some XJ buckets. Currently sitting awaiting on the headliner to be reinstalled. My idea is to convert to 4x4 and basically the same setup as my old XJ: It's March the 25th in Wyoming and we have gotten snow everyday on my 6 days off from work, so this will be a quick summer job to convert and prep.
